Shattered Glass- North Iowa Area Community College Auditorium, 500 College Drive (641-422-4188). These young musicians have studied at prestigious music schools including Juilliard, the Manhattan School of Music, and Boston Conservatory. At the core of Shattered Glass is a commitment to the special relationship it creates between audience and ensemble. By performing without a conductor and tailoring each performance with exceptional attention to audience an venue, listeners can't help but experience a connection with every one of the musicians. Barriers typical of the classical music experience are, well, shattered! Show begins at 7:00pm. Adults $20/ Students $10. Call for tickets 641-422-4188 or order online at www.niacc.edu/boxoffice

The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain- North Iowa Area Community College Auditorium, 500 College Drive (641-422-4188). The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain is a group of all singing, all-strumming ukulele players- using instruments bought with loose change which believes that all genres of music are available for reinterpretation, as long as they are played on the ukulele. A concert by the Ukulele Orchestra is a funny, virtuosic, awesome, foot-stomping affair of classics, country, rock-n-roll, and melodious light entertainment, featuring only ukuleles and a menagerie of voices in a collection of toe-tapping oldies. There are no drums, pianos, backing tracks, or banjos and no electronic trickery- only an astonishing revelation of the rich palette of orchestration afforded by ukuleles and singing (and a bit of whistling). Audiences will experience an enjoyable time with Ukulele Orchestra! Show begins at 7:00pm. Tickets start at $20. Call for tickets 641-422-4188 or order online at www.niacc.edu/boxoffice

Bottle Share- Fat Hill Brewing, 17 N. Federal Ave (641-423-0737). Join Fat Hill Brewing the second Thursday of each month from 4-8pm for Bottle Share Night! Craft beer lovers are encouraged to bring at least 16 ounces of a new, rare, old, oddball or just plain delicious beer they'd like to share. Whether it’s a 2004 Cantillon Loerik you traded a kidney for, or just a great pale ale you had at the tiny brewery near your grandma’s house last weekend, beer geeks are encouraged to bring anything they’d like to share. If you’re a big enough beer nerd to have a favorite sampling glass, feel free to bring it. If not, we’ve got a clean glass for you! This is a casual, come-and-go-as-you-please event. There is no fee, but we do suggest a generous tip for your friendly bartender who will be cleaning up after us all night. As always, over-imbibing is not allowed. Hard alcohol is never allowed in our taproom. The bottle share is for beer only. http://www.fathillbrewing.com/
