Mason City Area 4th of July Schedule

 

Mason City 

Mason City’s annual Independence Day fireworks display, featuring a concert by the Mason City Municipal Band, is Tuesday, July 3, in the stadium at Mason City High School’s Mohawk Field. The Mason City Exchange Club has been sponsoring the event since 1981. Stadium gates open at 6 p.m., and the fireworks begin at 10 p.m. Admission is free, but freewill donations are welcome.

Clear Lake

Clear Lake’s Fourth of July celebration in City Park will include its annual Arts & Crafts Fair, nightly live music, and the Evans United Shows Carnival. Carnival goers may take advantage of $17 Wrist Band Days from noon until 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, and Monday, July 2.

Indie rock, jam and hip-hop music fans converge at Western Gateway Park in downtown Des Moines for the annual 80/35 Music Festival, curated by the Des Moines Music Coalition. Headlining this year is superstar Kesha, who has nine top-10 hits, including her single “Tik Tok.” Electro Pop duo Phantogram (Josh Carter and Sarah Barthel) will be the featured performer Friday.
