REO SPEEDWAGON CONCERTS POSTPONED DUE TO KEVIN CRONIN'S HEALTH

As you have probably heard, REO Speedwagon has to postpone all its concerts in January & February. For the fans in the cities that were scheduled for shows then, the band currently working on getting them rescheduled. Stay tuned for more details. Here’s a message from Kevin Cronin on all the postponements:
“Hi friends, there are times in life when our bodies send us messages that we can’t ignore & this is one of those times. Fortunately for me, it is nothing life-threatening. I need a routine procedure, which is so simple it can be performed by a robot. R2D2 is busy saving the universe, but I understand there is another highly qualified robotic surgeon who works out of Cedars-Sinai Hospital here in Los Angeles. My doctor says I will be good as new. I am deeply disappointed that I have to ask the greatest fans in rock ’n roll to change their plans. All I can do is ask for your understanding and I truly appreciate your support. The new dates will be announced as soon as possible… Much love, kc”

Eagles Reschedule Des Moines Concert

(Courtesy Matthew Leimkuehler, DSM Register)
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame group the Eagles announced Friday the band’s Des Moines concert has been rescheduled. Originally set for March 21, the group will now perform at Wells Fargo Arena on March 26.
All tickets will be honored at the new date and fans unable to attend the rescheduled date can seek a refund at the point of purchase. Tickets are still for sale and cost $99.50, $149.50 or $229.50 before fees via Hy-VeeTix.com. The show kicks off at 8 p.m.
One of the best-selling groups in American rock ‘n’ roll history, the Eagles return to Des Moines following the January 2016 death of co-founding member Glenn Frey. The group announced earlier this year that Frey’s son, Deacon Frey, and Grammy Award-winning country songwriter Vince Gill would replace Glenn Frey on the road.
The California-born band last played Des Moines on Sept. 6, 2014; Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh performed solo at the arena in 2017, opening for the late Tom Petty in what would be his last Iowa appearance.
The scheduled Des Moines show, coined “Evening with the Eagles,” comes ahead of a planned summer stadium tour for the group alongside the likes of Jimmy Buffet, James Taylor and Chris Stapleton.
Known for blurring the lines of country, rock ‘n’ roll and traditional pop music, the Eagles — composed of remaining members Walsh, Don Henley and Timothy B. Schmit — found world-renowned success in the 1970s for numbers such as “Hotel California,” “Take it Easy,” “Life in the Fast Lane,” “Desperado,” “Take it to the Limit” and “Lyin’ Eyes.” The group has sold an estimated 120 million albums worldwide.
The new show date is scheduled for the night after pop favorite Lorde is set to perform at the arena, March 25. Find more information at iowaeventscenter.com.
