Exhibit: Susanne Crane: Selected Works - Charles H. MacNider Art Museum (Center Space Gallery), 303 2nd St. SE (641-421-3666). This exhibition features the paintings of Albert Lea, MN artist Susanne Crane.  The artworks highlight the natural landscape and, perhaps, give the viewer a glimpse into the symbolic world. Jack Helgren Memorial Race - Clear Lake State Park, 6490 South Shore Ct, Clear Lake. The weekend is filled with family friendly snowmobiling fun. Friday evening: 'Welcome to THE JACK' reception and snowmobile ride around the lake; bonfire at the race site.  Saturday: Lemans style racing and radar runs, vintage show, Kitty Kat and 120 races. Saturday night awards banquet & live band (awards for Lemans races, radar runs & vintage show).  The event is a memorial to Jack Helgren, an area businessman, avid snowmobiler, former dealer/racer and promoter of the sport in the area. Movie Monday – Clear Lake Public Library, 200 N 4th St., Clear Lake (641-357-6133).  Monday’s feature is “Glass Castle” (PG-13). A young girl comes of age in a dysfunctional family of nonconformist nomads with a mother who’s an eccentric artist and an alcoholic father who would stir the children’s imagination with hopes as a distraction to their poverty. Free and open to the public. Movie starts at 1pm.

“Post-It”Art – Mason City Public Library, 225 2nd St. SE, (641-421-36680). A Post-It Party for teens, hosted by Mason City Public Library Youth Services, will be offered from 5pm-6pm. Teens are invited to make art with Post-It notes. Create your own design during this event in the Mason City room. Free and open to the public.
