Approximately 75 sailboats compete in this weekend’s Inter-Lake Regatta on Clear Lake, a 115-year tradition, an old-fashioned team regatta, with type X, MC, C and E sailboats expected.
The Inter-Lake rotates between Clear Lake and Lake Okoboji in
Iowa, and Minnesota’s Lake Minnetonka, and White Bear Lake. Team standings are emphasized over individual
standings, as is the case with most regattas. Competitors this weekend come from seven or eight different
lakes from around the Midwest. Spectators are welcome to come to the Sea Wall area, with competition starting Friday, and continuing through Saturday and
Sunday.
