Bruce's Column: March 2018

My column for March.
Not only is it 2018, we're a couple of months into it already. It's been a couple of years since I worked six days a week and I find myself with a new pattern for how the week passes. Instead of thinking it's Monday looking ahead to the shows for the week I'm thinking about taking the kid to school at 8 o'clock and being back in bed by 8:45. Tuesdays are the days to pick out the Songs of the Day for the week to come and pull the recycling tub and garbage receptacle out of the garage and putting them on the corner for Wednesday pick up which is the highlight of the day.
Thursday I post the Songs of the Day for the next week. I'm researching some stuff for the Insubordination Train all week and making notes of the things I don't want to forget.
Friday is the last day to have to get up before 10 for a couple of mornings.
A portion of the day is occupied with house work and other exciting activities like sifting the cat litter...now you know why I like golf season.
A legend in my spare time.
Again thoughts back to 1978 and the early days of 103.1/103.7 forty years is a long time to do anything and means among other things that a lot of my early friends here have aged along with me although I still can't get used to the idea that Randy Chesterman is 60.
Spring is just about upon us and the return of baseball, and yes, golf and being outside in the sunshine.
I hope the sun shines on you all month long, except at night unless you're in Alaska.
