Buffett last performed for Iowa’s Parrotheads at Wells Fargo Arena in
2012, his first Des Moines concert since stopping at Principal Park
(then Sec Taylor Stadium) in 1985.
The 71-year-old southerner is known for easy listening favorites
“Margaritaville,” “Come Monday,” “Why Don’t We Get Drunk,” “Cheeseburger
in Paradise” and more.
Founder of the Margaritaville resort and restaurant chain and champion
of the easy-goin’ lifestyle that precedes it, Buffett has focused
recent attention on “Escape to Margaritaville,” a Broadway show adapting
his beloved music. The musical premiered at the Marquis Theater in New
York City earlier this week. Find more information at iowaeventscenter.com.
