"Sherlock Holmes" - Mason City Public Library, 225 2nd St. SE (641-421-3668). Richard Caplan will present "Sherlock Holmes in Turn-of-the-Century Britain" at 10:15am. Caplan an authority on Holmes, published a book about Doyle's famous detective, and is the founding leader of the Younger Stamford's, Iowa city's Sherlock Holmes Society.

Glee North Iowa - The Main Event, 112 2nd St. SE (641-423-3301). Glee North Iowa, a theater troupe featuring actors with disabilities, returns with a  "whodunit" mystery at 7pm (doors open at 6:30pm). Admission is free and open to the public. Free will donation will be accepted, and refreshments following the performance. 

Fantastic Fridays Roller Skating - Roller City, 600 2nd NW (641-423-2000). Kick off the weekend with roller skating from 7pm-10pm. Check Roller City's Facebook page for weekly themes and events!

YMCA Garage Sale for Food (April 21 & 22)- Mason City Family YMCA,  1840 S Monroe Ave. (641-422-5999). All proceeds will go towards youth programming. Accepting donations now.

Bulls, Barrels, and More Rodeo (April 21 & 22) - North Iowa Events Center Arena, 3700 4th SW, Mason City (641-423-3811). Circle C Rodeo Productions presents Bulls, Barrels & More rodeo action! Pee wee barrel racing, calf riding, steer riding, junior bulls & barrels, senior bulls & barrels, mutton bustin' and more! Admission: $15 adults, $10 kids 6-12. Kids 5 and under free. 7pm both nights.
