So. Much. Music. Not That We're Complaining!

Lots of great music, art, food and life in Clear Lake for the big 4th of July Celebration, and in Mason City too! Here are some of the great choices:
One of our favorite places in the whole wide world, the Charles MacNider Art Museum, 303 2nd SE in Mason City, is featuring the exhibit Drawn To Abstraction: Prints From The 1960's and 70's.  Printmaking brought the excitement of the New York and International art scene within reach of middle-class collectors. This exhibit features an extraordinary collection of works on paper by artists widely recognized as giants of the 20th century art. Hours: Wed-Sat 9am-5pm; Tue & Thurs 9am-8pm. Free admission. More info: 641-421-3666, or http://macniderart.org/

Paul Weitzel and The Hats are gigging downtown on Friday evening, at FION Barra Wine Bar in Mason City, tunes start at 8:00 pm. Excellent band, great place, cool big-city vibe.
