Another Busy North Iowa Entertainment Weekend

Families
will enjoy reading the book ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’ by Giles Andreae as
they walk through beautiful downtown Mason City. Pages from the book
will be displayed in the windows of downtown businesses and
organizations. The first pages can be found at CENT Credit Union and
directions to the next pages are on each sign. Particpating business
are: CENT Credit Union, Historic Park Inn, Rieman Music, Lucy &
Olive, Opies Skate Shop, Moorman Clothiers, City Center Apartments,

2014, the Little Mekong business district launched the Little Mekong
Night Market as a way to draw visitors to all the splendid things the
area has to offer. The festival features arts, culture, and dance groups
performing traditional forms, hip-hop, and breakdance. There are plenty
of kid-friendly art activities, and tons of delectable snacks: spicy
tater tots, refreshing bubble tea, Twistatos chips, frozen yogurt, and

Play Matters Alley Cat Race & Fun RollBiking
and rollerblading elf Santa Erik Riese has designed a fun alleycat race
at Matthews Park. The course takes about 45 to 75 minutes, and you’ll
want to have your camera phone ready to complete some of the challenges.
There’ll be prizes for the top finishers, plus swag for everybody who
participates. For folks who aren’t into the alleycat, Santa Erik will
throw on some rollerblades to lead a non-competitive slow roll through
Seward and Longfellow. You’ll need to sign up for the alleycat race, but

My column for July ~ Bruce Wasenius
A couple of things thinking back to when I lost my job the last time. A lot of people urged me to get back onto the air in a variety of ways. The more I looked into it I found obstacles everywhere with starting a virtual station and programming the music or some kind of podcast it just was a lot of work that I didn't really want to get involved with. So when I was contacted about going back to the Fox just for 5 hours a week it seemed to be the solution and I'm happy to say I was right.
It's the season for fun and celebration be careful of over doing it.

Mason City’s annual Independence Day fireworks display, featuring a concert by the Mason City Municipal Band, is Tuesday, July 3, in the stadium at Mason City High School’s Mohawk Field. The Mason City Exchange Club has been sponsoring the event since 1981. Stadium gates open at 6 p.m., and the fireworks begin at 10 p.m. Admission is free, but freewill donations are welcome.Clear Lake
